Rescue accompanies a dinghy with 145 people on board to La Restinga (El Hierro)

La Restinga (El Hierro), June 10 (EFE).- Salvamento Marítimo has accompanied to the port of La Restinga, on the island of El Hierro, a dinghy with 145 people that was located five miles south of this port in El Hierro, Salvamento Marítimo has reported.

Of the occupants of the boat, 132 are men, 9 women and four minors, all of them of sub-Saharan origin and in apparent good health.

The alert was given by the Civil Guard when it detected an echo on the coastal surveillance radar that was confirmed by the Salvamar Adhara Maritime Rescue Service, which accompanied the canoe to the port of El Hierro.
