Rainy season in Guatemala has left 23 dead and chaos in road network

Guatemala City, Jun 23 (EFE), (Camera: Esteban Biba).- The rainy season in Guatemala, which runs every year from May to October approximately, has caused 23 deaths during 2022 and chaos in its road network due to floods and landslides, obstacles to trade and tourism.

The latest update from the National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (Conred) on Thursday detailed that in addition to the 23 deaths there are more than 1.4 million people affected by the rains of the 18 million that inhabit the Guatemalan territory.
