UK ELECTIONS

Quiet day with high turnout at the start of the British elections

London (United Kingdom), Jul 4 (EFE) - The two main British political leaders, Labor Keir Starmer and Conservative Rishi Sunak, voted Thursday in the general election being held in the United Kingdom, in a quiet day, slightly sunny and with a strong turnout early in the morning.

Some 46 million Britons are called to vote on the composition of the House of Commons (low), of 650 seats, by the majority uninominal system, in a day of voting that began at 06:00 GMT and will continue until 21:00 GMT.
