Pyongyang, Jun 19 (EFE).- A welcoming ceremony for Russian President Vladimir Putin began on Wednesday in Pyongyang, North Korea, the Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported. The ceremony was taking place in Kim Il-Sung Square, a prominent venue for the North Korean regime's grand parades and celebrations, according to RIA Novosti, which also published a photo of the square filled with people and decorated with balloons. After the welcoming ceremony and photo session with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, the two leaders are expected to meet at the Kumsusan Guest Palace, where the Russian president is staying during his first visit to North Korea in 24 years.
