Puerto Rico bids farewell to basketball legend 'Piculín' Ortiz
San Juan, May 8 (EFE).- Hundreds of people, including relatives, friends, former basketball players and fans, gathered on Friday to bid farewell to legendary Puerto Rican basketball player José Ortiz during a solemn religious and musical ceremony held three days after his death.The tribute took place at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum in San Juan, where Ortiz’s widow Sylvia Ríos and his children, volleyball player Neira and Gabriel, joined mourners to honor the former athlete and member of the International Basketball Hall of Fame.
