PSOE militants follow the Federal Committee from the street

Madrid, Apr 27 (EFE).- Thousands of supporters of the ruling Spanish Socialist Workers’ party (PSOE) were gathering at the party’s headquarters in Madrid on Saturday in a show of support for Spain’s prime minister Pedro Sánchez, whose wife has been accused of corruption. The prime minister shocked the country on Wednesday evening when he announced that he was suspending his public duties until Apr. 29 to “reflect” on his future after a judge ordered an investigation into his wife Begoña Gómez for alleged corruption and influence peddling.
