Protesters in Philippines launch movement against Marcos legacy, martial law

Quezon City, Jul 21 (EFE/EPA).- Human rights advocates on Thursday officially launched a protest movement to mark the 50th anniversary of the declaration of martial law under former president Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

The multi-sectoral groups are expected to hold protests despite warnings from police on 25 July when President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., son of the late president, delivers his first State of the Nation Address. (Camera: ROLEX DELA PENA).
