Proponents and opponents await Dominga mine decision in Chile

Santiago de Chile, Jan 18 (EFE), (Camera: Rodrigo Saez Molina) - Dozens of people for and against gathered Wednesday in front of the Chilean Ministry of Health in Santiago to await the decision on the controversial Dominga megaproject, which threatens the survival of a unique nature reserve in the world.

Since 08.00 local time (12.00 GMT), a Committee of Ministers has been discussing the viability of this project for the extraction of iron and copper concentrates in the north of the country, which has been valued at 2.5 billion dollars.
