Pro-Palestinian rally in Washington on eve of Gaza conflict anniversary

Washington, DC, Oct 5 (EFE/EPA).– A pro-Palestinian rally took place in Lafayette Park near the White House on Saturday, ahead of the October 7 anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel.

During the demonstration, journalist Samual Mena Jr. self-immolated in a shocking act of protest.

The rally marked the approaching one-year anniversary of the ongoing conflict, which has seen over 41,000 deaths in Gaza and significant destruction of the Palestinian enclave. (Camera: ANNA ROSE LAYDEN).
