Pro-nuclear energy activists gather in Brussels as EU Nuclear Energy Summit kicks off

Brussels, Mar 21 (EFE/EPA).- (Camera: Olivier Matthys) The pro-nuclear energy action group "Stand Up for Nuclear" demonstrated on Thursday in front of the Monument Atomium in Brussels, within the framework of the First EU Nuclear Energy Summit. On the other hand, a couple of Greenpeace activists protested against the increase in nuclear energy and against the summit.

Heads of state and government meet in Brussels for a summit aimed at highlighting the crucial role of nuclear energy in reducing the use of fossil fuels, securing energy supplies and promoting economic development.
