Procession of Risen Holy Christ of Logroño suspended due to rain | Video

Logroño (Spain), Mar 31 (EFE), (Camera: Sergio Jiménez).- The rain has forced the suspension of the procession of the Risen Holy Christ, whose departure was scheduled at noon from the Logroño cemetery and is the only one in Spain that leaves a cemetery.

The members of the Brotherhood of the Entry of Jesus into Jerusalem have chosen to cover the passage of the Risen Christ with transparent plastic to prevent the image from being damaged by water.

A few minutes before the scheduled start time for this procession, the hundreds of citizens gathered at the doors and inside the Logroño cemetery were informed that, due to increasing rain, they would not be able to see the image of the Risen Christ pass by.
