Princess of Wales has begun "preventative chemotherapy" treatment

London (United Kingdom), Mar 22 (EFE).- (Camera: Guillermo Garrido) The Princess of Wales, Catherine, wife of the heir to the British Crown, William, announced Friday in a video that she has been diagnosed with cancer and has already begun a "preventive chemotherapy" treatment.

"In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time it was believed that my condition was not cancerous. The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found that cancer had been present. My medical team therefore recommended that I undergo preventative chemotherapy treatment and I am now in its early stages," said Catherine.
