STATEMENTS BY THE EDITOR IN CHIEF OF THE MALIANS NEWSPAPER ESSOR, SOULEYMANE BOBO TRAORÉ, IN FRENCH: "The generators are not strong enough to power the printing press, this has impacted the quality of the printing. Often, the photos are blurry and also the newspaper comes out without some pages, this seriously impacts the newspaper. Furthermore, on a human level, Printing workers often work all night, while in normal time when there is electricity, they finish their work in three hours maximum. But now there is no precise time, they come at noon and often stay until 5:00 in the morning the next day."

STATEMENTS BY DIAKALIA TRAORÉ, TAILOR IN BAMAKO: "In my neighborhood and in others in the capital, power outages can last 24 hours. We don't even have fresh water to drink. What about professions such as metal carpentry, restoration and hospitality? People lose millions and no one knows when this ordeal is going to end."
