POPE AUDIENCE

Pope Francis calls for hope, patience for world at general audience

Vatican City, May 8 (EFE).- Pope Francis said Wednesday that the world "needs so much" hope and patience during the general audience he held before thousands of faithful from different parts of the world in St. Peter's Square at the Vatican.

"The world today is in such great need of this Christian virtue! Just as it also needs patience, a virtue that goes hand in hand with hope," said Francis, who dedicated his catechesis to the third theological virtue, after previous audiences had dealt with the virtues of faith and charity.
