Polls open in Senegal's early parliamentary elections

Dakar, Nov 16 (EFE/EPA) - More than seven million voters are called to the polls on Sunday in Senegal's early legislative elections in which President Bassirou Diomaye Faye is seeking to win the parliamentary majority needed to implement his reform program after a particularly tense campaign. ‘There were many scenes of violence that we really regret,’ Mbene Faye, the number two candidate on the list of the presidential party Patriots of Senegal for Work, Ethics and Fraternity (Pastef), told EFE.
