Police search former Spanish PM Zapatero’s office
Madrid, May 19 (EFE).- Central Investigating Court No. 4 of the National High Court has summoned former Spanish Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero to appear on 2 June as a defendant on charges of criminal organisation, influence peddling, and forgery in the case investigating alleged illegal commissions received in connection with the bailout of the airline Plus Ultra.The former prime minister’s office and three other business premises are curren tly being searched, legal sources have told EFE.This is the first time in the country’s democratic history that a former prime minister has been charged by the courts.CAMERA: RAMÓN AYALA.FOOTAGE OF JOURNALISTS AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE BUILDING WHERE THE OFFICE OF FORMER PRIME MINISTER JOSÉ LUIS RODRÍGUEZ ZAPATERO IS LOCATED.
