Plane carrying WikiLeaks founder Assange stops over in Bangkok to refuel

Bangkok, Jun 25 (EFE/EPA).- The plane carrying WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is seen on the tarmac at the Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok on Tuesday.

WikiLeaks announced on its X account that Julian Assange exited the British high-security prison where he was being held in the morning and left the United Kingdom to return to Australia .

"Julian Assange is free. He left Belmarsh maximum security prison on the morning of 24 June, after having spent 1901 days there," WikiLeaks posted on X. (Camera: NARONG SANGNAK).
