Djerba (Tunisia), 9 May (EFE).- (Camera: Natalia Roman Morte) Every year, the island of Djerba attracts thousands of pilgrims who visit the thousand-year-old El Ghriba Synagogue as well as numerous descendants of the diaspora in search of their identity to complete a part of his family history. For the first time, Daphné Bem Baren has entered the 2,600-year-old temple - the most ancient in northern Africa - together with several friends to participate in a traditional ritual. It was important to me to live a pilgrimage that is unique in the world. Tunisian jews from Djerba are are the only ones who do this. It's amazing, they is a great blend, not only of jewish but also muslims and christians. It's crazy".
