Philippines puts populations near Taal volcano on Alert 1 level

Agoncillo (Philippines), Jun 4 (EFE/EPA).- (Camera: Francis Malasig) The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) raised alert level one on June 3 and warned villagers of sudden steam or phreatic explosions, and that lethal accumulations or expulsions of volcanic gas may occur inside the island of Taal volcano.
