EU SUMMIT

Petr Fiala, Charles Michel and Ursula von der Leyen give a press conference at informal EU summit in Prague

Prague (Czech Republic), Oct 7 (EFE/EPA).- (Camera: Filip Singer) The leaders of the European Union have commissioned this Friday from the European Commission "clear and concrete" and not "vague" proposals to intervene in the gas market and limit its price in some way with the aim of lowering energy prices, which Brussels will present within two weeks.

The Twenty-seven brought their positions closer together on this issue in a debate that lasted about three hours, with a shared diagnosis of the need to act urgently, but also divided on the measures that would be more effective or less harmful.
