"La Petatera", the disassembled bullring that unites a town in Mexico

Colima (Mexico), Feb 9 (EFE), (Camera: José Luis González) - Inhabitants of a town in western Mexico are building "La Petatera", a disassembled bullring with natural materials such as wood and bamboo, the artisanal knowledge inherited from their parents and a lot of heart, and which has seen the likes of Pedro Infante and Cantinflas.

In the town of Villa de Álvarez, near the capital city of the state of Colima, the excitement begins in December, when some 65 families organize the festivities of San Felipe de Jesús, the patron saint to whom the town entrusts itself so as not to suffer earthquakes or the eruption of the Colima volcano, a few kilometers away.
