Lima, Jun 19 (EFE).- The announced day of anti-government protests passed without significant citizen mobilisations in Lima on Monday, although regional groups announced that marches will take place from 22 to 25 July to reject the government led by Dina Boluarte and demand the creation of a "new plurinational state" in Peru.Although the Peruvian National Police (PNP) had assured EFE that 8,000 officers would be deployed in the capital on Monday to deal with the expected anti-government protests, calm reigned in Lima.However, some groups announced on the same day, at a small press conference in Lima, that the protests are planned for mid-July, specifically from the 22nd to the 25th.
