Lima, May 10 (EFE), (Camera: Mikhail Huacàn) - The Peruvian government promised Tuesday to promote a package of measures to encourage private investment and streamline procedures to start mining exploration, a sector that generates 12% of the country's GDP."We are working on improvements in the regulations in order to speed up permits for mining exploration," said the Minister of Economy and Finance, Oscar Graham, at the opening of the fourteenth International Symposium on Gold, Silver and Copper held in Lima.During the same, he explained that in Peru this permit can take two years, when in other extracting countries this period is two months.
