Paramount Seamount, a "restaurant" for Eastern Tropical Pacific species

Pacific Ocean (Ecuador), Mar 8 (EFE) - (Camera: José Jácome) The Paramount seamount, located 360 kilometres from Isabela, the largest of the Galapagos Islands (Ecuador), is the "restaurant" for dozens of endemic and migratory species that pass through the "migravia" (marine migratory corridor), which connects the waters of Panama, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador and international waters.

This was stated to EFE by the Argentinian Greenpeace researcher Hernán Pérez Orsi, while the Arctic Sunrise, a ship belonging to the environmental organisation, was sailing over the waters of Mount Paramount on a scientific mission to document its biodiversity.
