PANAMÁ CANAL

Panama Canal increases the daily transit of ships to 32 with the arrival of the rains

Panama City, June 1 (EFE).- Starting Saturday, the Panama Canal will increase daily vessel transits from 31 to 32, a measure that follows the increase in draft to 45 feet (13.7) with the arrival of the rains and the improvement in the levels of the two artificial freshwater lakes that feed the waterway, affected by a severe drought since last year that forced the restriction of operations.
