Panama boosts immunization against Omicron with bivalent vaccine

Panama City, Feb 5 (EFE).- Panama has recorded 1,029,701 confirmed cases Covid-19 and 8,596 deaths since the first case was detected in the country in March 2020.

At least 8,756,308 doses of vaccine against the disease have been administered, mostly from Pfizer, since the vaccination drive began in January 2021, according to the weekly Minsa report.

This Central American nation of 4.4 million people has registered six pandemic waves, the first two being the deadliest, before vaccination. (Camera: CARLOS LEMOS).
