Palestinians return to a destroyed Khan Younis after Israeli troop withdrawal

Khan Younis (Gaza Strip), Apr 30 (EFE/EPA).- Palestinians return to Khan Younis, with many buildings destroyed, after the Israeli army withdrew troops from the southern Gaza Strip on Tuesday.

The Israeli army attacked several "terrorist targets" in the central Gaza Strip on Monday, including suspected fighters and a weapons depot. According to Wafa, rescue teams have recovered the lifeless bodies of six people in the Al Amal neighbourhood of the southern town of Khan Younis, while in Rafah, on the Egyptian border, 24 bodies were recovered from destroyed homes, including several women and children.
