Palestinians in Beirut commemorate Palestinian Prisoner's Day

Beirut (Lebanon), Apr 19 (EFE/EPA) - Palestinians living in Lebanon held a vigil Friday to commemorate Palestinian Prisoner's Day in front of the Red Cross headquarters on Hamra Street in Beirut.

The Palestinian National Council designated April 17 as a day to honor Palestinian detainees in Israeli jails and support the right to freedom.

According to the Association for the Support of Prisoners and Human Rights ADDAMEER, the number of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails exceeds 9,500 detainees.
