North Korea launches 2 ballistic missiles into Sea of Japan

Seoul, Jul 1 (EFE/EPA).- North Korea launched two ballistic missiles Monday toward the Sea of Japan, according to the South Korean army, the second launch of this type in less than a week that appears to respond to maneuvers by Seoul, Tokyo and Washington.

"Our military detected two ballistic missiles launched in a northeast direction at 5:05am and 5:15am local time (20:05 and 20:15 GMT on Sunday) from the Jangyeon area of South Hwanghae Province," the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement. (Camera: JEON HEON-KYUN).
