Non-conviction-based asset forfeiture can help fight organized crime in Panama

Panama City, Nov 21 (EFE) - A foundation that promotes democratic strengthening in Panama sees the confiscation - or awarding to the state - without conviction of assets resulting from illicit acts as a way to counteract the infiltration of organized crime in the country's private sector, which according to a study by a global NGO is “profound”.
