Nikkei rises 1.38 % to close above 60,000 for first time

Tokyo, Apr 27 (EFE/EPA).- Japan’s benchmark Nikkei index rose 1.38 percent on Monday to a new record, closing above the 60,000-point mark for the first time, supported by hopes of progress in negotiations to end the Middle East conflict and gains in technology stocks. (Camera: FRANCK ROBICHON).
