Nepal celebrates red chariot festival as thousands of women take part

Lalitpur, May 8 (EFE/EPA).- Thousands of Nepalese women recently participated on Monday in the annual red chariot festival in Nepal, pulling the massive chariot of Rato Machhindranath, also known as "The Rain God," through the streets.

The event is an important cultural and religious celebration in the country, attracting both locals and tourists alike.

The participants believe that taking part in the procession will bring good harvest, prosperity, and good luck to their communities.
