Nepal celebrates Dog Worship Day as part of Tihar festival in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, Nov 12 (EFE/EPA).- Nepal celebrated Sunday the Dog Worship Day as part of the Tihar festival in Kathmandu.

The Tihar festival is the second major festival for Nepalese Hindus, during which people worship crows, considered to be messengers of human beings; cows, considered as incarnations of Lakshmi (the goddess of wealth); and dogs, as a way to repay the love towards man's 'best friend'.
