NATO deploys major military force to Poland

Korzeniewo (Poland), Mar 7 (EFE).- (Camera: Paula García-Ajofrín) NATO this week deployed a large military force in Poland, key on its eastern flank, as part of one of its most important exercises to date to demonstrate that the Alliance is not only "ready" to defend every inch of its territory, but also has the will to do so.

For three days in Korzeniewo, a town on the Vistula River about 100 kilometres south of Gdansk (a port city on the Baltic coast), 20,000 soldiers and 3,500 pieces of military equipment from nine NATO countries crossed the Vistula River to showcase their forces and their ability to respond to a "fictitious" enemy, which they do not name, but which they do target: Russia.
