Moscow celebrates its city anniversary

Moscow (Russia), Sep 9 (EFE/EPA) - (Camera: Sergei Ilnitsky) Moscow celebrates its 876th anniversary as a city with flags and artistic performances at landmarks. The Russian capital was first mentioned in the chronicles of the 12th century as a fief of the prince of Rostov and Suzdal Yuri Dolgoruky, hence the year 1147 is considered the date of its foundation.
