Moldovan journalists protest on World Press Freedom Day | Video

Chisinau (Moldova), May 3 (EFE/EPA) - In a gesture of solidarity for press freedom and in condemnation of violence against journalists, Moldovan journalists, including an elderly woman, protested today with a flash-mob in front of the Russian embassy in Chisinau, Moldova.

With banners in hand, protesters and local journalists gathered to raise awareness of the importance of press freedom on World Press Freedom Day, celebrated every 3 May.

The event highlighted the need to protect and promote the vital role of independent media in society and respect for the safety of journalists around the world.
