Mohedo, the hands that 'dress' the feet of the Roman Empire of Montoro

Montoro (Córdoba), Mar 23 (EFE) - (Camera: Mercedes Martinez) The hands of Manuel Mohedo are the fourth generation of leather craftsmen who in 1850 began in a small local Montoro to make, above all, footwear to work in the field and tools for animals and now are those who 'dress' the feet of the Roman Empire.

The Roman Empire is a tradition rooted in the town of Montoro since the seventeenth century when it is dated that, in 1694, a devotee decided to pay the processional departure of a company of soldiers to accompany the penitential station of Our Father Jesus of Nazareth.
