MEXICO MIGRATION CRISIS

Migrants leave Juárez irregular crossing points following asylum cap announcement

Ciudad Juárez, Jun 5 (EFE).- Following the announcement that the United States will cap the number of people granted asylum, hundreds of migrants waiting to cross at the border between Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, and El Paso, Texas, on Wednesday withdrew to avoid problems.

As EFE was able to confirm, on Monday hundreds of migrants had been camping next to the Rio Grande between Ciudad Juárez and El Paso looking to enter the US. However, on Wednesday as the new rule came into effect, they had all disappeared. (Camera: RAÚL MORALES).
