Mexican Tzotzil poet Ruperta Bautista wins FIL's Indigenous Literature Prize-

Guadalajara (Mexico), Aug 27 (EFE) - The Mexican poet of Tzotzil origin Ruperta Bautista Vázquez won the 12th edition of the Indigenous Literature of the Americas Award 2024 (PLIA) at the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL) on Tuesday for ‘Poemario Lóbrego’, which deals with the death of women in indigenous communities.
