MEXICO CORRUPTION

Mexican judge orders former Pemex boss to remain in prison for Odebrecht case

Mexico City, Jan 26 (EFE).- A Mexican judge ordered Wednesday the former director of Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) Emilio Lozoya to remain in preventive detention as the main person involved in the Odebrecht corruption case.

The judge of the North Prison of Mexico City, where Lozoya has been imprisoned since November, ruled that the accused should continue his procedure there although a magistrate had already asked the judge to review the preventive detention measure on Tuesday. (Camera: ULISES ANDRADE).
