Mexico City, Feb 5 (EFE).- Freight transportation organisations across Mexico initiated a national strike and set up blockades on several major highways, despite a prior announcement from the Mexican government about an agreement intended to avert such actions.The Interior Ministry disclosed on Sunday that it had reached a consensus with the Mexican-American Federation of Transporters (Fematrac) to devise strategies aimed at combating the insecurity issues plaguing the nation's highways.The agreement includes the creation of task forces dedicated to address security, administrative, and coordination challenges.
