Oviedo, Spain, May 18 (EFE).- Mexican archaeologist and anthropologist Eduardo Matos Moctezuma won Spain’s coveted Princess of Asturias Award for Social Sciences on Wednesday in recognition of his exceptional contribution to our knowledge of pre-Columbian societies and cultures.Moctezuma, 81, has carried out his fieldwork in archaeological sites such as Comalcalco, Tepeapulco, Bonampak, Teotihuacan, Cholula, Tula, Tlatelolco and Tenochtitlan, among others.
