Maslenitsa Festival celebrated in Russia

Moscow, Mar 14 (EFE / EPA) .- (Camera: Sergei Ilnitsky / Yury Kochetkov) Russians are celebrating the Maslenitsa (Shrovetide) festival, which originates from Slavic mythology, and takes place this year from 07 March to 14 March.

The 'Maslenitsa', a Russian holiday of pagan origin similar to Western carnival, entered its heyday this weekend.
