Lula's lawyer guarantees his "independence" and "impartiality" as Supreme Court judge

Brasilia, Jun 21 (EFE) - Lawyer Cristiano Zanin, nominated by Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva for a seat on the Supreme Court, on Wednesday guaranteed his "independence" and "impartiality" in the event that he becomes a judge on the high court despite his close relationship with the Brazilian president after having defended him in corruption cases he faced in the past.
