Locals, tourists enjoy viewing full bloom cherry blossoms in Tokyo

Tokyo, Mar 28(EFE/EPA).- Tokyo residents and tourists filled the city's streets and parks on Monday to enjoy the full bloom of the capital’s cherry blossoms, an annual event in Japan that marks the beginning of spring.

Japan Meteorological Agency declared full bloom of cherry blossoms in Tokyo on Sunday and the bloom will spread northward until the final bloom in eastern Hokkaido around mid-May. (Camera: KIMIMASA MAYAMA).
