LGBTQ+ activists, feminists hold commemorative event in San Salvador

San Salvador, Apr 6 (EFE).- A group of twenty LGBTQ+ activists and feminists in San Salvador (El Salvador) held a "queer procession" on Saturday to demand justice for the victims of femicide and trans women murdered in the country.

Gathered at the Monument to the Revolution in San Salvador, they organized a procession similar to those celebrated by Catholic parishioners during Holy Week.

Aranza Santos, from Asociación Colectiva Alejandría, highlighted the purpose of the event: to honor the memory and struggle of the human rights defenders, housewives and trans women who have been murdered and whose cases still remain in impunity. (Camera: VLADIMIR CHICAS).
