GERMANY INCIDENT

Leipzig seeks to return to normal after man rammed vehicle into crowd, killing two

Leipzig, Germany, May 5 (EFE).- The city center of Leipzig, in eastern Germany, looked desolate and shaken on Tuesday, including the market square, with police still present at the scene of the intentional mass hit-and-run incident that occurred the previous day, leaving two dead and about twenty injured.

Despite the heavy police presence, market vendors were striving to convey a sense of normalcy following the attack, for which a 33-year-old German man has been held responsible. He was arrested shortly afterward in the car he used to ram pedestrians in the heart of the city.
