Paris (France), April 4 (EFE).- Drogba, who hung up his boots in 2018 at the age of 40 and is currently vice president of the NGO 'Peace and Sport', made these statements this Thursday to EFE before participating in an event at UNESCO headquarters about the role that athletes elite can have to promote peace.

TRANSLATIONS:

I hope that the different world bodies act, whether FIFA, UEFA or the states, because I think it is something that should involve the states, the governments, take joint measures to eradicate this scourge, because FIFA can decide to sanction, UEFA can decide to sanction, but if the countries don't sign up, it is going to be complicated to get a message across with a single voice.
