LEBANON CONFLICTS

Lebanese minister refutes arms stockpiling allegations

Beirut, Jun (EFE/EPA).- Lebanese Minister of Public Works and Transport Ali Hamieh denied on Sunday allegations of weapons stockpiling at Beirut's Rafik Hariri International Airport.

Hamieh was speaking at a press conference in response to a report in The Telegraph quoting an anonymous airport worker.

Hamieh invited the media and ambassadors to visit the airport on 24 June. This invitation is intended to counter allegations that Hezbollah stores Iranian weapons, missiles and explosives at the civilian airport. (Camera: WAEL HAMZEH).
