Lawyer Gloria Allred appears after hearing the sentence in the Weinstein case

Los Angeles (California, US), Feb 23 (EFE), (Camera: Caroline Brehman).- The Los Angeles County Superior Court sentenced former film producer Harvey Weinstein to 16 years in prison on Thursday after being convicted of three counts of rape and sexual abuse of a model of Italian origin.

A California jury had convicted him last December of rape, sexual penetration and "forced oral intercourse" against that woman.

The 70-year-old former Hollywood magnate will have to serve 16 years of sentence after the 20 years that he still has to complete, the result of the trial he faced in 2020 for similar conduct.
